Just scanned some of my design drawing class projects. I forgot the moped in my dorm, so it’s not present. I think I’ve made improvement over time. Not as good as I should or could be yet, but I’m moving in the right direction.
Chairs with line shading
Experiment with texture
Table and chair with line shading
Shoe
The living room
Knife that needs to be better.
Hammer time
Glass table
A tale of two cubes
Interior of the 1965 Dodge Dart
Dart underlay+ the font used on the car
Fancy couch
Chaise lounge
No idea
Final project was announced today. Drawing a car in side and perspective view.

some cool shit dude.love the last one. Here’s something related to the Eames chairs I did a while back. It was for an adult coloring book, if I remember correctly...

Yay VisCom! Have you ever seen

I know the guy who wrote it, might be worth picking up if it’s available.

That looks really cool. I guess rendering isn’t as important as it used to be and a lot of the techniques have fallen by the wayside.
I’m going to try to find it, could be useful.

I would’ve given that knife at least a J+

It was my first bad grade in a while. Really stepped it up after that. Quite the blow. The instructor’s name is Don, which makes sense for his place in the design department.
Don, the Don of Industrial Design. You don’t want to be on the bad side of the Don.

Welp. Looks like no way to get it. Any ideas?

Yeah... no one ever will pay for someone to draw anymore.

Hm, no clue. Some googling seems to indicate that it may be available here:

Thanks! I’ll email them to see if they actually have it. I googled for a good few minutes but couldn’t find it.

Yeah, most say out of stock or unavailable. Always hard to trust a seller like this, but you never know.

This one’s not bad, either. I have the first edition, from many, many years ago. Not really design advice, but solid rendering/technique info.

I appreciate it. I’m drawing a car for my final and I really need it to stand out. I’ll see what my library has for now but I might look into buying a good book on rendering once I start working for the summer and have some cash.

It’s definitely worth it for the step-by-step stuff, and hammering the fundamentals (perspective is where every begenner falls apart when doing cars).

Right on. There's some solid advice and technique in there.
